Fly to Mandalay and visit the Mahagandayone Monastery – home to several thousand young monks,
Visit Mandalay Hill, a major pilgrimage site and known for its pagodas and monasteries. Stroll along the U Bein Bridge, the world’s longest teak span with 984 posts once a part of the Inwa Palace.
Drive to Sagaing, the religious center of Myanmar with 600 white-painted pagodas and monasteries and many meditation centers. Visit Sagaing’s local market, which few tourists visit and then on to Ava, an ancient former capital. Glimpse country life via horse and carriage, the Bagaya Monastery, remains of the royal palace and fort, and later a silk-weaving workshop.
Fly to Bagan, “city of four million pagodas” and one of the richest archaeological sites in Asia. Visit the colorful Nyaung U Market, Shwezigon Pagoda, Ananda Temple, a masterpiece of Mon architecture, the monastery with well-preserved murals, the Thatbinnyu Temple know as “temples of omniscience”, and the massive Damayangyi Temple. Enjoy a sunset horse–cart ride. Evening free.
From the Shwesandaw Pagoda, enjoy spectacular sunset views. Visit the Mon style Manuha Temple, the sandstone Nanbaya Temple, Myingaba Gu Byaukgyi Temple and its mural paintings. Visit Lawka Nandar Stupa, Sulamani Pagoda, and the Lacquerware Handicraft Center.

Fly to Heho in the cool green highlands of the Shan State and explore Inle Lake by boat to see the “one legged rowing” fishermen, floating markets, hydroponic vegetable gardens, villages, temples, and ancient monasteries including Ngaphachaung. Visit colorful mountain hill tribes known for their special hand-woven silk fabrics.
Visit the colorful morning ethnic market, the Inthar Heritage House, the village of Inpawkhone to observe lotus stem silk weaving techniques of the Inthar people and a cheroot factory producing hand rolled cigars. Visit silversmiths and blacksmiths still using ancient techniques.
Visit the Pa-oh village of Indein on the southwestern shores of the lake to observe traditional lifestyles and wander through the Alaung Sitthou area, filled with picturesque stupas and magnificent views of the lake. Fly to Yangon; meet your guide and transfer to hotel.
Transfer to International airport for departure.
