Day 1Arrival Saigon

Arrive in Saigon airport; meet your guide and private transfer to hotel.

Day 2Saigon Culinary tour

Join a unique culinary class at Hoa Tuc Cookery highlighting both culture and cuisine with its own fresh market on site. Prepare and enjoy your own 3-course meal.

Day 3Saigon – Street Food Market

Visit City Hall, Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post office, Ben Thanh Market, and the shopping area on Dong Khoi Street.
A drive through Chinatown with your guide highlights daily activities at rush hour. Travel along the 200-year-old “Tau Hu canal” still used to haul consumer goods and agricultural products. At night, savor the amazing choices of Southern Vietnamese food.

Day 4Saigon – Danang – Hoi An

Fly to Danang and drive to Hoi An. Dinner is at a fabulous restaurant set in a lovely garden located in the heart of Hoi An.

Day 5Tra Que Cooking Class & Hoi An City

Optional: Bike to TraQue village and vegetable farm. Learn about the cultivation of vegetables and how they are used in traditional medicine. Try your hand at typical farming methods, preparing the land and fertilizing it as per local customs. Learn how to prepare your own lunch of authentic dishes with the help of the chef of TraQue. Afternoon, take a walking tour along Hoi An’s waterfront from the Japanese Covered Bridge to the main market. Stop at the ancient house Tan Ky, the ornate Fu Kien Chinese Temple and continue down to the Hoian local market.

Day 6Hoi An - Danang – Hue

Travel to Hue over the spectacular Hai Van Pass. En route, visit the Cham Sculpture Museum. Visit the former Imperial Citadel, UNESCO World Heritage site.

Day 7Hue – Home Cooking

Passing verdant rice paddies, explore Thanh Toan village, home to a legendary market and beautiful covered bridge. Learn about the role of agriculture in the area. Visit Thien Mu Pagoda, and the Tomb of Emperor Minh Mang. Visit a family of royal lineage and spend time cooking together. Enjoy an exclusive and authentic Vietnamese dinner together.

Day 8Hue – Hanoi

Transfer to Hue and fly to Hanoi.
Arrive in Hanoi airport, meet your guide and private transfer to hotel.

Day 9Hanoi Street Food & Culture

Visit the wildly wonderful Chau Long market, Truc Bach Lake, stopping to savor unique traditional specialties. Visit Hoan Kiem Lake, Temple of Literature and enjoy a traditional cyclo ride through Hanoi’s Old Quarter. Visit the Bach Ma temple. It is a sacred temple in town which dates back to the 11th century. This mouth watering street food tour proves exhilarating with various opportunities to test the specialties of the area. We end our tour at a local coffee shop and enjoy sips of coffee dripping from the filter.
