Day 3Seoul

Today, you can choose your activity from one of the tours below.

Namiseom Island & Petite France Tour

Namiseom (Nami) island, the half-moon-shaped island in the southwest of Chuncheon served as a setting in the popular Korean TV drama Winter Sonata. It is also famous for the scenic tree lined roads that offer spectacular views of autumn foliage, but the scenery is beautiful year round. Namiseom offers fun activities for bike riding, ziplining, camping, and boating. The island’s redwoods, ginkgos, and pines offer a habitat for roaming deer and waterfowl.
Then head to the nearby Garden of Morning Calm. It is an artistic space with a beautiful balance between the Korean concept of natural curves with asymmetry, and plants with synthetic materials. Scenic walkways, beautifully manicured grass, and flower beds connect the garden’s 20 different themed sections. The last site of the day is Petit France. Nestled in the hills, you would think that you have arrived at a real French village in the Alps. The village is inspired by the famous French novel “Le Petit Prince.” The village actually contains a memorial hall to Antoine de Saint-Exupery, the author of “Le Petit France.” Enjoy a mix of food, shops, performances, and French culture.

Seoul – Suwon Hwaseong Fortress & Korea Folk Village

Explore a captivating cultural and historical tour to Suwon Hwaseong Fortress, where you can marvel at the unique Korean architecture of the 18th century. This architectural gem has earned a prestigious UNESCO Cultural Heritage site status and is a true symbol of traditional Korean culture. During your visit, you’ll gain valuable insight into the scientific, architectural, and artistic aspects of Korea during that fascinating period. Built during the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910), the fortress boasts an impressive array of architectural wonders that will leave you in awe. Take a moment to immerse yourself in the rich history and culture of Korea as you explore this magnificent structure. While in Suwon, you can also visit the Hwaseong Haenggung Palace, which was the king’s residence during his travels, times of war, and tomb visits. Here, you can enjoy traditional archery with targets used by kings, an experience that will leave you feeling like royalty. Lunch will be served at authentic local restaurant. Afterwards, head to the Korean Folk Village in Yongin, where residents still practice the traditions and lifestyle of the 18th and 19th centuries. You’ll be transported back in time as you witness the daily activities of the villagers, including traditional crafts, music, and dance.
