Itinerary

Day 1Arrival Yogyakarta - Borobudur

Arrive in Yogyakarta Airport. After the immigration process and pickup luggage, your tour guide will meet you at the exit gate and take you to the hotel check-in. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 2 Borobudur Sunrise & Candirejo Village Tour

Wake up early to witness the sun rise on the world famous Borobudur Temple. It was built under the Sailendra dynasty in the early 9th BC and took almost 100 years to be completed. Borobudur is a massive pyramid that rises up from the green plains like the neighboring volcanoes, six tiers to the top. The top level is dotted with 72 small, latticework stupas, each with a statue of Buddha inside, visible through the grates. Enjoy the view of the temple and the majestic Merapi mountain from shining turquoise lights of the sunrise. Candirejo Village, a traditional Javanese village rich with its natural surrounding and traditional houses, plantation resources, art performances, farming and local food. You will participate in some of their daily social activities and enjoy the traditional, cultural-preserved transportation, the carriage of Yogyakarta ‘Andong “ surrounding areas.

Day 3Prambanan Temple - Yogyakarta

Today, we visit Prambanan Temple. This temple is undoubtedly a magnificent piece of architecture and the sculptures and reliefs on the main Shiva temple are amongst the best examples of Hindu art to be found. On a clear day the temple will appear as a silhouette against the backdrop of a sky bright reds, pale blues and wisps of white clouds. Then we will transfer to Yogyakarta and check-in hotel. In the afternoon, you can visit Malioboro shopping street, where you can find a variety of Javanese restaurants, souvenir shops, and local arts and crafts. You can also experience a traditional becak ride, a form of transportation unique to Yogyakarta.

Day 4Yogyakarta to Bromo

After check-out, we will transfer you to Yogyakarta train station. Take your train to Mojokerto. Arrival in Mojokerto Train station, meet your tour guide for the Bromo portion. He will assist your transfer to your hotel in Bromo area. Approximately 2 – 3 hours driving. Arrive at hotel and check-in.

Day 5Mount Bromo

Get ready for an early departure to Mt Bromo, the active and iconic volcano of Java island. Our guided jeep tour and horseback riding will feature several stops at viewpoints. Mount Bromo sits in the middle of a plain called the “Sea of Sand” (Javanese: Segara Wedi or Indonesian: Lautan Pasir), a protected nature reserve since 1919. We will return to the hotel. Afternoon explore Tengger National Park, enjoy stunning view of plantation and village life.

Day 6MT Bromo - Surabaya - Denpasar - Ubud

This morning we will transfer to Surabaya for your flight to Bali. Upon arrival Denpasar International Airport. Meet your guide and take you to Ubud check in hotel.

Day 7Archeology Sites and Hindu Blessing Ritual

Meet your guide at the Ubud hotel lobby in the morning for a 30-minute drive east of Ubud to visit Bedulu Village, the center of the Pejeng Kingdom in the tenth-thirteenth centuries. Our first stop will be at The Elephant Cave (Goa Gajah), a significant Hindu archaeological site locally known as the Elephant Cave. The cave, relics, and ancient bathing pools are surrounded by green rice paddies, creating a mysterious and breathtaking atmosphere. After exploring the cave, we will walk down the staircase at the back of the temple leading to the Yeh Pulu Relief, which is about 25 meters long and 2 meters wide. The relief’s name, Yeh Pulu, means water of the stone vessel. Next, we will visit Gunung Kawi Temple located on the mystical Pakerisan River Valley in Tampak Siring Village. This archaeological complex is carved out of living rock and dates back to the 11th century. It is one of Bali’s UNESCO Archeology sites. After that, we will visit the nearby Tirta Empul Temple, where you will have a chance to experience a small Balinese Hindu ritual blessing and purification. This temple is renowned for its holy spring water, which has attracted Balinese worshipers for over a thousand years. To participate in the ritual blessing, you will need to wear a sarong and bring a small offering. Your guide will assist you in the preparation, and you will meet with the Hindu priest who will lead the ceremony.

Transfer back to your hotel and the rest of day is free at leisure.

Day 8Subak Rice Field Walk With High Caste Balinese Intelectual

Mr Bagus Dharma, a well-respected person in his village for his dedication to preserve Balinese culture and arts, will welcome you in his private residence and walk with you through the rice paddies on a path through nearby villages, spice plantations and a tropical forest. Along the way, he will explain the way Balinese cultivate rice as well as the Subak irrigation system as well as on traditional medication produced from herbs and plants. After the walk through the rice fields, enjoy a picnic lunch that is served in his house. After Lunch, we drove to visit a hidden shrine with a small waterfall which is known by locals for blessing rituals. Together with villagers, he will lead you to placing offering on the shrine before bathing on the holly waterfall.

Day 9Batur Volcano and Ubud Village Cycling

Today, let’s set off on an adventure. Meet your guide in the lobby at 8:00 am and take an hour drive to Penelokan Village, perched on the rim of the magnificent Batur Volcano, standing tall at an elevation of 1,717 meters. Once arrive, get your bike fitted, tested, and briefed on the route. Then savor a hot cup of Bali coffee while enjoying the breathtaking view. Star our cycling journey, ride through the fragrant mandarin plantation. You can pick fresh oranges from the trees. Also, experience local farmers’ rhythms as they plant and harvest. Then, take a single trek through the picturesque rice fields, tropical rainforest valleys, and the irrigation river, leading us to the enchanting Sebatu Village. Then, continue our cycling journey down to Pejeng Aji village, renowned for its exquisite Garuda Wisnu woodcarvings and witness the intricate wood carving process at one of the artist’s workshops along the way. Our adventure will culminate in Bentuyung Village, which was made famous by the book “Eat Pray Love.” The cycling journey ends at the Blue Karma Resort, where you can enjoy a delicious lunch. Transfer back to you hotel.

Day 10Ubud - Komodo Island

Meet your guide and transfer Denpasar airport for your flight to Labuan Bajo airport. Upon arrival,meet your guide and transfer to the hotel and check in.

Day 11Komodo National Park

Our first stop is Komodo Island. One hour walk with a local ranger in search of the Komodo dragons start the day. On the way, you might spot wild buffalos, deer, pigs and various species of tropical birds such as the Cockatoo. Continue to Banunggulung in Komodo Island to see the activities of Komodo dragons in their natural environment. And finally to Pink Beach for snorkeling and
swimming. Afternoon return to the hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure.

Day 12Labuan Bajo – Denpasar

Meet our guide in the lobby at and drive to Labuan Bajo Airport for your flight to Denpasar.
