Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Luang Prabang

Arrive in Luang Prabang, meet your guide and private transfer to hotel.

Day 2Luang Prabang – Khuangsi Waterfall (B,L)

Visit Wat Mai, renowned for its golden bas-relief, the National Museum (former Royal Palace), and Wat Sensoukarahm with its dazzling golden façade, and stunning Khuang Si Waterfalls. Climb to Mount Phou Si (328 steps) to see the gilded stupa, and beautiful views at sunset.

Day 3Luang Prabang – Pak Ou cave (B)

Early risers will have a chance to witness the monks’ morning ritual, collecting alms.
Visit the fascinating Morning Market, Wat Visoun and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its low sweeping classical roof. On the Mekong River, visit the Pak Ou Caves, containing thousands of Buddha statues. Visit the caves of Tham Ting and Tham Phoum. On the way back stop visit Ban Xang Hai, a small rice alcohol-producing village and Ban Xang Khong, a village known for silk hand-weaving and traditional Saa paper-making.

Day 4Luang Prabang – Departure (B)

The morning is at leisure. Check out by noon. Transfer to the airport.
