Itinerary

Day 1Arrive in Bangkok

Arrive in Bangkok, meet your guide and private transfer to hotel.

Day 2Royal Bangkok (B,L)

Cruise by long tail boat down the Chao Phraya River, observing daily life. Visit the revered Temple of Dawn, the Royal Barge Museum, the exquisite Grand Palace and the Emerald Buddha Temple. Visit Wat Po and the enormous Reclining Buddha.

Day 3Bangkok – Jim Thompson’s House (B)

Visit the museum of Jim Thompson’s House, whose mysterious American owner was the modern day founder of the Thai silk and cotton industry.

Day 4Bangkok – Ancient Ayutthaya (B,L)

Visit the former capital of Thailand, Ayutthaya and the Summer Palace of the late King Rama V and the magnificent ruins. Visit Wat Yai Chai Mongkon Monastery.

Day 5Ayutthaya – Ancient Sukhothai (B,L)

Drive to Sara Buri to visit The Royal Temple of the 5 ft. long Holy Footprint. Continue to Phitsanalok and visit Wat Mahathat, the provinces most important religious structure. Continue to Sukhothai.

Day 6Ancient Sukhothai (B,L)

Learn about local history form the ancient artifacts in the Ramkamheng National Museum in Sukhothai, Thailand’s first capital.

Day 7Sukhothai Historical Park (B,L)

Drive to the fascinating historical park of Si Satchanala and the second most important city of the Sukhothai Kingdom. Explore hidden ruins and visit wat Chedi Jedtheaw, Wat chang Lorm, Wat Pra Sri Mahathat, and Wat Nang Phaya. Explore the National Museum of Kilns & Potteries.

Day 8Sukhothai – Departure (B)

In the morning is free. Afternoon transfer to the airport for departure.
