Opened at Benesse Art Site Naoshima in 1992, Benesse House is both a museum and a hotel, incorporating guest rooms and space for display of contemporary art. Benesse House offers guests opportunities to get close to great art and spend a uniquely rewarding time in dialogue with the works and with themselves.

These guestrooms have the highest vantage point at Benesse House Museum, offering a view through large windows looking out onto the Inland Sea and the setting sun that varies throughout the year. Drawings, paintings, prints, and other artwork by the artists in our collection decorate each room.
  • Deluxe: 34 sqm, Twin sized bed, Ocean & Mountain view. These guestrooms are on the sec ond floor of Benesse House Museum. You can stay as close as possible to the artwork. The guestrooms have large windows facing the Inland Sea with a magnificent view of the sunset that changes with the seasons. These guestrooms also have great ocean view from bathrooms.
  • Family Suite: 70 sqm, 4 Single sized bed, Ocean & Mountain view. These comfortable, spacious guestrooms are on the third floor of Benesse House Museum. They are recommended for staying with friends or family.
  • Suite: 70 sqm, Twin sized bed, Ocean & Mountain view. These guestrooms on the third floor have the best view in Museum, and in addition to a vista of the Inland Sea and the mountains of Shikoku through the large windows facing to the south and west, you can also get an up-close look at the open-air artwork by artists like Shinro Otake and George Rickey. These guestrooms embody the symbiosis of nature, architecture, and art.

Oval: 

  • Twin: 30 sqm, Twin sized bed, Ocean & Mountain view. The guest rooms have the highest vantage point at Benesse House, looking out on the Inland Sea below.
  • Suite: 70 sqm, Twin sized bed, Ocean & Mountain view. From the expansive windows and spacious terrace, you can take in a fantastic view of the Inland Sea below.The guestrooms feature murals hand-drawn by the artists.

Park:

  • Twin/ Double: 28 sqm, Double or Twin sized bed, Ocean &  Garden view. All guestrooms face the Inland Sea, providing a view of the sea and the open-air artwork here and there. In addition to easy access to the adjoining restaurant and shops, it is also convenient for taking the shuttle bus.
  • Deluxe: 28 sqm, Double or Twin sized bed, Garden view. All guestrooms are located on the second floor of Park, allowing you to experience the Inland Sea and the open-air artwork dotting the grounds. In addition to access to the adjoining restaurant, shops, and spa, it is also convenient for taking the shuttle bus.
  • Suite: 57 sqm, Twin sized bed, Ocean & Garden view. There are just two suite-style guestrooms in Park. Both suites face the Inland Sea, providing a view of the sea and the outdoor artwork here and there. Park is convenient for taking the shuttle bus, making it recommended for families or groups.

Beach:

  • Suite: 61 sqm, Twin sized bed, Ocean view. Located right next to the Inland Sea, these spacious rooms allow you to enjoy the view of the Inland Sea outside your window, and they are perfect for staying with family or friends. Two semi-double beds are provided.
  • Suite Double: 61 sqm, Double sized bed, Ocean view. Located right next to the Inland Sea, these spacious rooms allow you to enjoy the view of the Inland Sea outside your window, and they are perfect for staying together with the people close to you.
