Hotel Description

Tamarind Village is a unique and charming boutique property that nestles in the heart of historic Chiang Mai. Surrounded by ancient temples and quaint shopping streets, it takes its name from magnificent 200 years old tamarind tree that shelters the hotel in a shady embrace. Intimate, serene and relaxing, Tamarind Village is an oasis of calm and tranquility, the perfect base for exploring Chiang Mai and beyond.

Tamarind Village is situated at the center of Chiang Mai’s old town. Many of the city’s historic landmarks and temples are located within walking distance. Each week, Chiang Mai’s famous ‘Sunday Walking Street’ takes place just in front of the hotel’s entrance. Founded in the 13th century as the capital of the Lanna Kingdom, Chiang Mai boasts a vibrant culture, rich traditions and ancient Buddhist temples. Located 700 kilometers north of Bangkok, Chiang Mai is easily accessed by a number of daily flights.

  • Lanna rooms: 25 sqm, Double or Twin sized bed, offer first and second floor garden courtyard views and are decorated in a style that blends perfectly with the hotel’s theme and setting.
  • Lanna Deluxe Room: 30 sqm, Double or Twin sized bed, feature a small balcony or terrace for sitting out and enjoying the courtyard.
  • Lanna Suite: 46 sqm, Double sized bed, located on the first and second floor levels and are comprised of separate sitting and sleeping areas.
  • Tamarind Suites: 50 sqm, Double sized bed, bring a new level of luxury to your stay with spacious accommodation that features wooden floors
  • The Spa Suties: 60 sqm, Double sized bed, situated next to The Village Spa and accessed by a private staircase to the second floor.
