Itinerary

Day 01: Welcome to Nepal – Kathmandu 
Welcome to Nepal! Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will meet you, escort you to your hotel, and help you check-in. You’ll have the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 02: Welcome to Bhutan – Thimphu
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Paro. Arrive in Bhutan, the Land of the Thunder Dragon! From the airport, head straight to Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan. Explore parts of the city and enjoy the local street market.

Day 03: Explore Thimpu, Capital’s Bhutan
Today, you will visit several landmarks in Thimpu city, including Buddha Point, the world’s tallest Buddha statue. This will give you an excellent view of the city. Your first hike will take you to Depsi village. The trails can be narrow and steep, so proceed with caution. You’ll pass through forests and small streams and possibly encounter local wildlife. You will also encounter other small villages, giving you a glimpse of rural life in Bhutan.

Day 04: Explore Bhutan’s Majesty – Punakha
Today, you will travel to Punakha via Dochula Pass (3,100 meters). The highlight will be your trek to Lungchutse Monastery. The trail takes you through lush, dense forests filled with rhododendron, oak, and pine trees. You might spot various bird species and other wildlife native to Bhutan. As you ascend, you’ll be rewarded with stunning views of the Himalayan range, including peaks like Masang Gang, Tsendegang, and Gangkar Puensum. The monastery is perched on a ridge and offers panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and mountains. It’s a serene and spiritual place to rest, meditate, and enjoy tranquility. Explore the monastery, interact with any monks present, and enjoy a small picnic.

Day 05: River Rafting in Punakha
Today in Punakha, you will embark on an exciting rafting adventure on the Mo Chu River, starting from your campsite. After a briefing on instructions and safety procedures, you will navigate the river’s clear waters and moderate rapids. This experience is perfect for both beginners and seasoned rafters.  The rafting adventure typically lasts 1.5 to 2 hours, covering a distance of approximately 10 to 15 kilometers. The Mo Chu River features Class II to III rapids, offering a fun and moderately challenging experience. Expect thrilling rapids interspersed with calmer sections, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful scenery. After your adventure, you will travel to Paro for an overnight stay.

Day 06: Biking and Hiking Himalayas Vistas – Paro
Today, you will begin your adventure with mountain biking in Paro City, Bhutan. In the first half of the day, you’ll enjoy the stunning mountain bike trails that showcase the scenic beauty of the Paro Valley and its surroundings. This bike ride lasts approximately 4-5 hours and covers a distance of 16 kilometers. The trail comprises a mix of paved and dirt roads featuring moderate uphill sections.  In the second half of the day, your trek will commence from Chele Pass, located at an altitude of 3,800 meters, and will lead you to Kila Monastery. Your journey will take you to a maximum elevation of 4,500 meters, where you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of Mt. Kangchenjunga on clear days.

Day 07: Tiger’s Nest Trek – Paro
Today, you will hike to one of Bhutan’s most popular sights, the Tiger’s Nest, also known as “Taktsang.” This hike is considered one of Bhutan’s most iconic and rewarding experiences. The monastery, perched on a cliffside at an altitude of 3,120 meters (10,236 feet) above sea level, offers breathtaking views and a profound spiritual experience.  The legend surrounding the Tiger’s Nest adds a mystical and divine aspect to this 17th-century monastery, making it a cherished site for spiritual seekers and tourists. The story of the holy Buddhist sage, Guru Rinpoche, who rode on a tigress and meditated on this cliff, inspires reverence and awe among Bhutanese locals and visitors alike.

Day 08: Departure Date
Transfer to the airport for the flight back to Kathmandu, where you have a connecting flight home.
