Itinerary

Day 1Arrival Denpasar

Arrive in Denpasar International Airport. After the immigration process and pickup luggage, our tour guide will meet you at the exit gate and take you to South Bali hotel. Process your check-in and the rest of the day is free at leisure.

Day 2South Bali – Amed- Tulamben

Meet our guide at the lobby to go to Amed. (2.5 hrs drive). Upon arrival, check in to Tauch Terminal Resort Tulamben.

Day 3Tulamben Diving

Kubu Shipwreck. A 10 minute ride from Tulamben Beach will bring you to the shipwreck of KUBU. A 50m long fishing vessel sunk on purpose in the year 2012. It rests in 16 to 36 meters depth. We can dive it in 3 levels. At the deepest level you can find a jeep. The Kubu reefs are easily accessible from the rocky lava shore, similar to the dive sites in the Tulamben bay area. The reef starts right off the beach in shallow water about 2 – 3 m deep featuring huge pinnacles of glassfish-covered coral heads. Please check for pygmy seahorses (Hippocampus bargibanti) on deepwater gorgonian sea fans (Muricella sp.)! Nearly any kind of reef fish is abundant, schooling species like sawtooth barracudas (Sphyraena putnamiae) or large schools of fairy basslets (Pseudanthias spp.) on the reef flat, but also individuals like large groupers can be seen. A very highlight would be the gorgeous juvenile pinnate batfish (Platax pinnatus) which hides in the dark of crevices and holes.
WWII Shipwreck. A Bali dive safari wouldn’t be a safari at all without visiting Bali’s very own WWII USAT Liberty Shipwreck, primadona of the day which is only steps away from your room. On this day you will enjoy Tulamben’s House Reefs underwater hospitality with its most complete variety of corals, fish and critters.

Day 4Tulamben - Menjangan

Meet our guide at the lobby to go to Majangan. Upon arrival, check in to hotel.

Day 5 Menjangan Diving

Menjangan Island is famous for having Bali’s most beautiful wall-diving. The underwater topography depends on the exact dive site but most of them start on the island shelf where we tie to a mooring. We will start the dive on the shelf at about 5 meters which is also a great place for snorkeling. This shelf extends out from the island for about 200 meters, then begins to descend at various angles. For the most part the North East of the island gently slopes down to about 40 meters, and the South West features a much more dramatic wall dropping to more than 50 meters.

Day 6Menjangan Diving

Eel Garden. This is located at the most western point of Menjangan Island. To navigate, we usually start on the North wall and drift along the west coast to end up in the channel between the mainland of Bali and the island of Menjangan. There can be some current at this dive site and so we recommend that divers with little experience start at some of the other beautiful sites around the island. Due to this current site has fantastic diversity of fish and coral. Good to snorkel as well, this dive site is situated next to the most beautiful virgin beach of the island. This dive site is a must during your stay in West Bali National Park.
Anchor Wreck/Kapal Buldak. Another famous dive site of Menjangan Island is called Kapal Budak, which means Anchor Wreck in Bahasa. It got its name from the large anchor that lies at about 6 meters. At about 33 meters, lies some pieces of a large wooden cargo boat built 150 years ago. Nobody knows the name of the shipwreck or why it is laying on the bottom of this gigantic wall. Some of the remains are still underwater but a lot of them have been taken out by divers. This dive site is actually not renown for the wreck itself, but more for the diversity of the impressive wall. There is a good chance to see Green Turtles at this dive site.

Day 7 Menjangan – Munduk – Ubud

Meet our guide at the lobby to go Ubud. On the way visit Munduk village. Enjoy a beautiful trek through coffee, cloves, cacao and other exotic tropical plantations near the village. Gain insight into mountain farm life and the importance of the plantations that once attracted Europeans. Visit a lovely waterfall and later leave Munduk and drive to Jatiluwih. Take a pleasant walk to discover the beautiful terraced rice fields of Jatiluwih, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Check in hotel in Ubud.

Day 8Ubud

Today is free on your own activities.

Day 9Ubud – Denpasar Departure

Meet our guide at the lobby for your transfer to Denpasar airport departure.
