Day 1 Arrive Denpasar - Ubud

Upon arrival at the airport, our airport representative will meet you as you disembark from the aircraft. He will be holding a sign with your name on it. He will take you to the main gate to meet your tour guide while waiting for immigration services to be processed. He will then assist you to retrieve your luggage. Afterward, meet your guide at the exit gate and he will then transfer you to your hotel in the Ubud area. It is about an hour and a half drive. Check-in and the rest of the day is free at your leisure.

Day 2 Ubud - Archeology Sites and Hindu Blessing Ritual

Meet your guide at the Ubud hotel lobby in the morning for a 30-minute drive east of Ubud to visit Bedulu Village. This was the center of the Pejeng Kingdom in the tenth-thirteenth centuries. Visit The Elephant Cave (Goa Gajah) Goa Gajah, which is a significant Hindu archaeological site. Goa Gajah is locally known as the Elephant Cave because of its close proximity to the Elephant River. A mysterious cave, relics, and ancient bathing pools are set amid green rice paddies. The site is mentioned in the Javanese poem Desawarnana written in 1365. An extensive bathing area on the site was not excavated until the 1950s. These appear to have been built to ward off evil spirits. Take a walk down the staircase at the back of the temple leading to the Yeh Pulu Relief. The name Yeh Pulu means water of the stone vessel. The relief is about 25 meters long and 2 meters wide. Afterward we will visit Gunung Kawi Temple located on the mystical Pakerisan River Valley in Tampak Siring Village. This is an archaeological complex carved out of the living rock and dating back to the 11th century. Walk down 300+ steps to reach the temple, passing lush jungle and rice terraces. It is one of Bali’s UNESCO Archeology sites. You will visit a nearby Tirta Empul Temple and experience a small Balinese Hindu ritual blessing and purification. This temple is famous for its holy spring water. Balinese worshipers have been drawn here for more than a thousand years. Put on a sarong, get a small offering from your guide, and meet with the Hindu priest who will lead the ritual blessing.
