Itinerary

Day 1NRT-TOKYO

Your guide will meet you on arrival in Tokyo and transfer to the hotel by private coach.
Hotel: The Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo or similar

Day 2TOKYO (B)

Breakfast at the hotel. Start your full day tour exploring the highlights of Tokyo. Visit Ameyoko Market, the Buddhist Asakusa Kannon, Tokyo’s oldest temple, Sumida River Cruise and Hama-rikyu Gardens, famous for its fresh seawater ponds and island tea house where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery. Then visit the Ginza district displaying Japan’s high tech stores, cuisine and latest styles.
Ending tour at Akihabara before return to hotel.

Day 3TOKYO (B)

Breakfast at the hotel. Meet your guide at the hotel and start a full day experience in Tokyo. First stop at the Meiji shrine, take in a finexample of Japanese shrine architecture, nestled in a peaceful, picturesque area. Then visit Omotesando (Harajuku), Shibuya Crossing Street, Observatory of Tokyo Goverment Office, Kabukichoe

Day 4TOKYO - TAKAYAMA (B/L/D)

After breakfast, transfer by private coach to the Tokyo Bullet Train Station for Nagoya and continue to Takayama. Upon arrival, have a sightseeing tour for the Takayama. Lunch will be served at the local restaurant. After lunch visit Takayama Jinya Museum. This was the base of rule under the Shogunate and in use for 300years until 1969. Enjoy the old Kamisannomachi shopping district and then check-in to a traditional Japanese Ryokan. Tonight dinner will be a traditional Japanese at the Ryokan.
NOTE: Your suitcase will be delivered by courier services from Tokyo to Kanazawa. One piece of luggage per person (next day arrival). Please prepare your overnight bag for one day.

Day 5TAKAYAMA - SHIRAKAWAGO - KANAZAWA (B/L/D)

After breakfast, meet your guide at Ryokan and start a tour to visit the Miyagawa Open Air Market in old town and the Jinya-Mae Market at Takayama Jinya with products ranging from food to flowers. Then continue to Shirakawago Village to visit the hidden gem and UNESCO World Heritage site of Kanda House, a traditional preserved thatched roof Gassho Zukuri house. Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch transfer to Kanazawa and visit the 21st Century Modern Art Museum. Then check-in to the hotel. Japanese dinner will be served at Kanawawa Gyokusen-Tei.

Day 6KANAZAWA (B/L/D)

After breakfast, visit ancient Omicho Market which sells local products and is known for its sustainability in limiting waste and using leftovers to make Japanese boullion(dashi). Visit Nomura House, a well preserved Samurai residence. After lunch at local restaurant visit Kenrokuen Garden, known for being one of the 3 most beautiful landscape gardens in Japan and the ancient Samurai house of Seisonkaku Villa directly connected to the garden Enjoy Higashichaya Street in the Geisha district with its traditional tea houses. Last but not least, a Zazen meditation experience at the peaceful enviroment UIGI Kanazawa and then Shojin Ryouri dinner will be served, a Japanese sophisticated Buhdist cuisine. Return to hotel.

Day 7KANAZAWA - KYOTO - OGOTO (B/L/D)

After breakfast, meet your guide and transfer to Kanazawa station. Take a Limited Express Train (Thunderbird) for Kyoto. Upon arrival, continue your private tour to Shiga with its many beautiful and quaint historical districts. Lunch at local restaurant. Visit Hikone Castle, one of the few remaining original feudal castles of Japan. Check-in hotel in Ogoto and dinner at the hotel.

Day 8OGOTO - KYOTO (B/L)

After breakfast, enjoy a private tour of Kyoto, visiting the popular Kiyomizu Temple, literally “Temple of Pure Water” and the Ninen Zara & Sannen Zara traditional shopping districts. After lunch, visit Kodaiji Temple where you will experience a traditional tea ceremony. Stroll through the beautiful Yasaka Shrine and the shopping districts of Kawaramachi. Transfer to the hotel check in. The rest of evening is free on your own.

Day 9KYOTO - SHIGARAKI - KYOTO (B/L/D)

After breakfast, take a full-day tour to Shigaraki and its Miho Museum of an ancient civilization. Visit the pottery shops of the Shigaraki Pottery Village where you will hands-on making pottery experience. Return to the hotel. Late afternoon, transfer to Takasegawa Nijioen for a special Ganko Banquet and following a traditional Maiko performance.

Day 10KYOTO (B/L/D)

After breakfast, visit the traditional Arashiyama Area and the Togetsukyo Bridge famous for its rickshaw rides, bamboo forest and the Tenryuji Temple. After lunch, visit the Nishijin Textile Center famous for its kimono designs and fashion shows. Perhaps take in hands-on weaving your own tablecloth. Then, free time stroll through the Gion area with its traditional tea houses. Dinner will be served at Fortune Garden Kyoto.

Day 11KYOTO - OSAKA (B)

After breakfast transfer by local train from Kyoto to Osaka. Arrive Osaka station, transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure.

Day 12OSAKA - KIX (B)

After breakfast, meet your guide for a private transfer to the Kansai International Airport for your onward journey home.
