Day 01: Arrive UlaanbaatarWelcome to Mongolia! Upon arriving in Ulaanbaatar, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel for check-in.
Day 02: Ulaanbaatar Highlights (Breakfast, Lunch)
Enjoy a full-day tour of Ulaanbaatar, visiting Central Square and the Gandantegchilen Monastery, a spiritual and cultural center. Notable is the 26-meter-tall gilded Buddha statue. Next, take in views from Zaisan Hill. After lunch, visit the giant 40-meter statue of Genghis Khan, the tallest equestrian statue globally, and explore his birthplace in the Khan Khenti Mountains.
Day 03: Ulaanbaatar – Genghis Khan Camp (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Check out of the hotel and drive 5 hours to Genghis Khan Retreats. Upon your arrival, our friendly and accommodating team eagerly awaits to assist you with luggage collection. Once you’re settled in at the GKR camp, embark on a guided tour of the facilities led by our Camp Manager before enjoying the comfort of your luxurious ger.
Embark on a journey like the Khans atop a noble steed. Experience the breathtaking Mongolian landscape, its beauty, culture, and essence – an unparalleled adventure awaits. Get ready for excitement with traditional Mongolian archery under expert guidance. As night falls, savor a delicious meal in the dining ger, prepared by our culinary team. Day 04: Genghis Khan Camp in Adventure & Style (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Genghis Khan Retreats has a dedicated staff of 35 people who manage guest accommodation, dining, and sports activities. To ensure the best quality of service, we limit the number of guests to between 20 and 25 at a time. This ratio allows us to provide exceptional experiences for our visitors.
Following a leisurely breakfast, prepare for an exhilarating adventure by hopping on your mountain bike. Feel the rush of adrenaline as you navigate the ridges and valleys of the Orkhon National Park, traversing a unique terrain tailored to your skill level under the guidance of our experienced recreational team members. Craving a change of pace? Take a moment to slow down and immerse yourself in the tranquil beauty of the Mongolian steppe. Experience the vast expanse of rolling hills and valleys, rugged mountains, and meandering rivers in this untouched landscape.
Day 5 Genghis Khan Camp in Adventure & Style (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
After a hearty breakfast, embark on a thrilling four-hour horseback ride across the plains. Whether you are a seasoned horse whisperer or a novice rider, you will experience a newfound sense of freedom as you gallop across the expansive grasslands. As your appetite grows, savor a hand-prepared picnic on the mountainside. Enjoy your meal against the stunning backdrop of the Orkhon Valley, creating a truly unforgettable dining experience. For the return journey, choose between an exhilarating downhill mountain bike ride or a comfortable descent in one of our 4×4 vehicles. Once you reach the base of the mountain, relax with a peaceful kayaking excursion downstream along the winding river. Finally, return to camp for a well-deserved evening of drinks and relaxation.
Day 6 Genghis Khan Camp in Adventure & Style (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Today, the opportunity is yours to engage in an unforgettable adventure. Ascend magnificent peaks under the guidance of our expert rock climbing instructors. In the afternoon, sustain the exhilaration by embarking on a kayaking expedition down the Orkhon River. Immerse yourself in the breathtaking scenery as you navigate through the valley, enveloped by the sights and sounds of nature, from birds chirping to the grazing herds of livestock.
Day 7 Genghis Khan Camp in Adventure & Style (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Explore the region’s history through a guided tour led by a local as you retrace Genghis Khan’s steps. Visit the Erdenze Zuu monastery in Karakoram, founded in 1578, making it the oldest surviving monastery in Mongolia, which once housed over 10,000 monks. Although mostly destroyed by the Soviets in the early 20th century, it has been restored and recognized as a World Heritage Site. The Karakoram Museum offers excellent insights into the Mongol empire, showcasing artifacts that date back 4,000 years
Day 08: Transfer to Ulaanbaatar (Breakfast)
Transfer back to Ulaanbaatar. Check-in hotel
Day 09: Ulaanbaatar Departure
Transfer to the airport for your return journey.
