Today, embark on an exciting excursion to the charming rural town of Cai Thia. Your adventure begins with a boat ride through tranquil waterways; immerse yourself in local culture and witness the villagers’ daily lives. Visit a traditional home to see the art of rice paper making, surrounded by the enticing aromas of fresh fruits, sweet treats, and a cup of fragrant tea.
Next, explore My Luong Island on foot or by bicycle, meandering through quaint pathways and lush orchards and visiting a local school and market. Continue heading to An Binh Island for a relaxing sampan ride along winding canals, enjoying the peaceful sounds of nature. The sweet melodies of Southern Vietnamese folk music will enrich the day. Savor a delicious meal at a local house before checking into our homestay, where you will join the host family to cook authentic Southern Vietnamese dishes and enjoy dinner together. After enjoying a delightful breakfast, take a moment to bid a warm farewell to your gracious host family. Then, embark on a short stroll to a charming local workshop, where you’ll have the opportunity to witness the people making delicious coconut candy and the unique process of crafting pop rice and other traditional treats.
Following this immersive experience, we set off on a scenic boat trip back to the vibrant Vinh Long town. Here, prepare to be enchanted by the lively Vinh Long Market during our walking tour, where the colorful stalls brim with fresh produce, locally made goods, and the rich aromas of regional delicacies.
As the day draws to a close, we will journey to Can Tho, where we will unwind and enjoy a restful overnight stay, soaking in the essence of this beautiful region.

In the morning, we will visit Cai Rang Floating Market, the largest floating market in the Mekong Delta. The market is made up of boats and barges of various sizes, creating an interesting spectacle that highlights the vibrant and bustling river life in the Delta.
After exploring the market, we will transfer to Chau Doc, which takes approximately 3 to 3.5 hours by car. We will have lunch at a local restaurant.
Following lunch, we will take a boat to visit a fish farm, where we can observe how the people of the Mekong Delta raise fish in their floating houses. We will also visit the Cham minority community in their traditional weaving village. Additionally, we’ll stop by the Regional Goddess Temple, known as “Mieu Ba Chua Xu” in Vietnamese, and take a stroll through the nearby Chau Doc market.

After breakfast, we will visit the Tra Su Cajuput Forest, which is home to hundreds of thousands of birds, representing about 62 different species. This environmentally protected forest was first planted in 1983 and now covers an area of 845 hectares. Of this, 713 hectares serve as a habitat for storks, as well as other birds such as the grey heron, fiery stork, and spot-billed duck. Notably, the endangered yellow baya weaver can only be found in this forest.
After exploring the forest, we will return to Chau Doc for lunch. Following that, we will visit Sam Mountain, where the Phuoc Dien Tu or Hang Pagoda is located. We will climb the 400 steps to the top to visit the pagoda.

In the morning, journey to Sa Dec and be amazed by the beauty of all types of flowers and bonsai in one of the flower centers of Southern Vietnam. Immerse yourself in the friendly culture of Sa Dec Central Market and see the famous ancient house of Marguerite Duras’ legendary lover, Mr. Huynh Thuy Le. Drive back to Saigon.
